- Work: write to the venues and vendors, read the replies, and keep the conversation moving. The tool does a piece of the job, not just the thinking about it.
Most tools do the first two. The third is where the hours actually go, and it is the rarest, so it is the first thing to check about any of them.

- Not Just A Wedding is a planning app for UK and US couples with twenty plus tools: an AI assistant for venue ideas, vow writing, menus and playlists, seating charts, budget monitoring, and venue search linking out to Hitched and Bridebook. From £29.99 as a one time purchase.
- Aisle Sage takes one description of your wedding and has the AI find venues and photographers, build a budget, and draft vendor emails. Global rather than UK specific.
- AskMaisie builds wedding websites with an AI guest concierge inside: guests RSVP and ask questions over WhatsApp or Telegram, answered within the details you have approved. From £395 as a one off.
- Promesse is a UK platform still in development, planning a smart timeline, a vendor marketplace and budget tracking.
ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini as wedding planners
For many couples the AI wedding planner isn't a wedding product at all. They plan in ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini because they already use one, and for the thinking jobs all three are good: a budget split, rules for cutting the guest list, a venue checklist, a first email. How to use ChatGPT to plan your wedding has prompts for each, and they paste into Claude or Gemini as they are.
ChatGPT and Claude now remember across chats and keep a project's files together, and with Gmail connected both can send an email once you approve it. Gemini reads your Gmail through Google's Workspace app, though Google's help page describes it finding and summarising email, not sending it. Where all three fall short is the venue hunt. A chat answer can name a venue that has closed, or quote last year's prices, and none of them keeps track of which venue said what or notices that one has gone quiet. Against the three jobs above, a general assistant helps you think and organise, and leaves the work to you.
You don't have to choose. Aisley connects to ChatGPT and Claude, so you can ask in the same chat and Aisley searches real venues, sends the enquiries from your Gmail once you confirm, reads the replies and drafts the follow-ups. How to choose between them
Choose by the job, not the branding. In practice the decision is usually one of these:
- You are marrying in the UK and the venue inbox is what is eating your evenings: that is Aisley's job, and the only one on this list that does the chasing for you.
- You are marrying abroad and guests are travelling: Aisle's room blocks and guest RSVPs are purpose built for it. The planning itself is still ours: Aisley plans destination weddings the same way, chasing included.
- You want a wedding website where guests get their questions answered: AskMaisie.

Five checks before you trust any AI planner
- Does it write to real venues, or only recommend them? The recommendation is the easy half.
- Who sends the emails, and can you read every draft before it goes? You should never learn that a message went out on your behalf.
- Does it know the UK? Giving notice, regional pricing, how UK venues actually answer enquiries: generic tools miss all three.
- Is the pricing a subscription, a lifetime unlock, or credits that run out, and does it say so plainly?
- Is there a human you can email when it gets something wrong? Every AI planner will, eventually.

Depends which of the three jobs they do. A tool that organises saves you designing a spreadsheet. A tool that works saves you the writing, the reading and the chasing. When you trial one, watch what the AI actually does: if it ends every sentence at a recommendation, the emails are still yours.

Check every venue and price it gives you on the venue's own website, and expect to keep track of the replies and the chasing yourself. Connect Aisley to ChatGPT and that part is done for you, with every email shown to you before it goes.
No. A human planner is in the room on the day and makes judgement calls nobody should delegate to software. AI planners take over the admin and the inbox around the wedding, which is a different and much cheaper job. What a human planner costs puts the gap in numbers. Some couples will have both.
