Plan your wedding in ChatGPT

What connecting Aisley adds

ChatGPT is good at the thinking part of a wedding: a budget split, a guest list cut, a first draft of an email. Aisley does the work with real venues. Connect her, keep talking in ChatGPT, and Aisley does the job in your wedding and tells you what happened.

  • Describe the place you want, such as "a barn near Bath for 120 guests, under £15k", and Aisley runs her venue search, brings back real venues with why each one fits, and saves the ones you pick to your shortlist.
  • Ask Aisley to write to one venue, or to as many as 25 at once. You read every draft in the chat, change what you like, and each email goes from your own Gmail once you confirm it.
  • Ask who has written back. Aisley shows the latest reply in each conversation, who is waiting on whom, and the answer she has drafted, which you send as it is or in your own words.
  • When a venue has been quiet for a week, or the interval you choose, Aisley drafts a polite follow-up. Ask what needs chasing and send it from the chat.
  • The rest of the plan is there too: the to-do list, the budget and its expenses, your notes, the moodboards and the wedding details. Aisley can also invite your partner.

What ChatGPT doesn't do on its own

ChatGPT can do more than write now. On paid plans with Gmail connected, it can send an email once you approve it. What it doesn't do by itself is run the venue hunt:

  • It can be wrong about venues. A chat answer can name a venue that has closed or never existed, or quote last year's prices, and OpenAI's own help pages say ChatGPT can sound confident even when it is wrong. Aisley's search returns real venues with their websites, and the prices on your shortlist come from the venues' own replies.
  • It doesn't keep a shortlist. Which venues you wrote to, who answered, what they quoted and which dates are free end up spread across chats and your inbox. Aisley keeps each venue's status, price and date on the shortlist and updates it when a reply comes in.
  • It doesn't notice silence. Nobody tells a chat that a venue has been quiet for a week. Aisley drafts the follow-up for every quiet conversation, and after two follow-ups asks whether to move on.

Your wedding, as cards in ChatGPT

In ChatGPT, Aisley also opens as an app with its own screens. The sidebar shows the countdown, what needs you this week, your venues and your inbox. Ask for the shortlist and it arrives as a card with each venue's status, price and whether your date is free. Ask about replies and each conversation shows the latest message, how long the venue has been quiet, and the reply Aisley drafted.

How it works

  • Your wedding lives in Aisley: the shortlist, the conversations, the budget. ChatGPT is another place to talk to Aisley about it.
  • One connection is one wedding. You log in with your Aisley account and pick the wedding when you connect.
  • ChatGPT asks before anything changes. Each Aisley tool tells ChatGPT whether it only reads, changes the plan, removes something or sends email, and nothing reaches a venue until you have read it and said yes.
  • From the chat, Aisley never deletes your wedding or removes anyone from it.
  • Questions you ask Aisley from ChatGPT are saved as chats in the app, so either of you can carry on there.

What you need

  • A ChatGPT account with Developer mode on, until Aisley is listed in ChatGPT's directory.
  • An Aisley account with a wedding set up. Every new wedding starts with a free trial, and you start without a credit card. Subscribe now to lock in £10 a month, including VAT, until your wedding day.
  • Your Gmail connected in Aisley, so enquiries go from your own address. If it isn't yet, ask in the chat and Aisley sends you the link.
  • Gmail forwarding to Aisley, set once in the app, so the venues' replies reach Aisley.

Connect from ChatGPT

Add Aisley in ChatGPT with the server URL below, log in to Aisley when ChatGPT sends you there, and choose your wedding. Until Aisley is listed in ChatGPT's directory, adding it needs Developer mode. The developer page has every step.

Why does adding Aisley to ChatGPT need Developer mode?

Because Aisley isn't listed in ChatGPT's directory yet. Until it is, ChatGPT adds Aisley by its server URL, and that needs Developer mode, under Settings, then Security and login. If you use ChatGPT through work, your workspace has to allow it.

Does Aisley show up as cards in ChatGPT?

Yes. Ask for the shortlist or the latest replies and they arrive as cards, and Aisley has a sidebar app with the countdown, what needs you this week, your venues and your inbox. The cards show the plan and change nothing. Changes happen in the chat, once you confirm them.

Is this the same as asking ChatGPT to plan my wedding?

No. On its own, ChatGPT plans in the chat window. With Aisley connected, it works on a wedding that exists in Aisley: real venues on a shortlist, enquiries sent from your Gmail, the venues' replies, and a budget built from their quotes.

Will ChatGPT email a venue without asking me?

No. ChatGPT shows you each email in full, with who it goes to, and it leaves your Gmail only once you confirm it.

Can I use Aisley without ChatGPT?

Yes. Aisley is a web app at getaisley.com and everything works there. Aisley also works in Claude and Gemini, in the US for now.

Can we both connect?

Yes. Each of you logs in with your own Aisley account, and each can connect ChatGPT to the same wedding.
