Canonical: https://getaisley.com/gemini-wedding-planner ## Not in the UK yet Google lets you add a custom app like Aisley to Gemini only if you are [18 or over and in the US](https://support.google.com/gemini/answer/17209137), signed in with a personal Google Account. So a couple in the UK can't connect Aisley to Gemini yet. Your wedding works today in [ChatGPT](https://getaisley.com/chatgpt-wedding-planner), in [Claude](https://getaisley.com/claude-wedding-planner) and in the [Aisley web app](https://getaisley.com/), all on the same plan. When Google opens custom apps to the UK, the steps further down are how you connect. ## What connecting Aisley adds Gemini is good at the thinking part of a wedding: a budget split, a guest list cut, a first draft of an email. Aisley does the work with real venues. Connect her, keep talking in Gemini, and Aisley does the job in your wedding and tells you what happened. - Describe the place you want, such as "a barn near Bath for 120 guests, under £15k", and Aisley runs her venue search, brings back real venues with why each one fits, and saves the ones you pick to your shortlist. - Ask Aisley to write to one venue, or to as many as 25 at once. You read every draft in the chat, change what you like, and each email goes from your own Gmail once you confirm it. - Ask who has written back. Aisley shows the latest reply in each conversation, who is waiting on whom, and the answer she has drafted, which you send as it is or in your own words. - When a venue has been quiet for a week, or the interval you choose, Aisley drafts a polite follow-up. Ask what needs chasing and send it from the chat. - The rest of the plan is there too: the to-do list, the budget and its expenses, your notes, the moodboards and the wedding details. Aisley can also invite your partner. ## What Gemini doesn't do on its own Gemini can already read your inbox. With Google's Workspace app connected, it [finds and summarises your Gmail](https://support.google.com/gemini/answer/15229592) and adds events to your calendar. Google's help page for it doesn't mention sending email. For a wedding, that leaves the venue hunt with you: - It can be wrong. Google's own help page says Gemini [can hallucinate or give outdated information](https://support.google.com/gemini/answer/15229592), and in a chat a venue that closed last year looks the same as one taking bookings. Aisley's search returns real venues with their websites, and the prices on your shortlist come from the venues' own replies. - It doesn't keep a shortlist. Which venues you wrote to, who answered, what they quoted and which dates are free end up spread across chats and your inbox. Aisley keeps each venue's status, price and date on the shortlist and updates it when a reply comes in. - It doesn't notice silence. Nobody tells a chat that a venue has been quiet for a week. Aisley drafts the follow-up for every quiet conversation, and after two follow-ups asks whether to move on. Gemini is another place to talk to Aisley about it. - One connection is one wedding. You log in with your Aisley account and pick the wedding when you connect. - Gemini asks before anything changes. Each Aisley tool tells Gemini whether it only reads, changes the plan, removes something or sends email, and nothing reaches a venue until you have read it and said yes. Google says Gemini [requires manual confirmation for any write action](https://support.google.com/gemini/answer/17209137). - From the chat, Aisley never deletes your wedding or removes anyone from it. - Questions you ask Aisley from Gemini are saved as chats in the app, so either of you can carry on there. ## What you need - Gemini on a personal Google Account with Keep Activity on, used by someone 18 or over in the US. Google doesn't offer custom apps on work or school accounts yet, and offers them in English only. - An Aisley account with a wedding set up. Every new wedding starts with a free trial, and you start without a credit card. Subscribe now to lock in £10 a month, including VAT, until your wedding day. - Your Gmail connected in Aisley, so enquiries go from your own address. If it isn't yet, ask in the chat and Aisley sends you the link. - Gmail forwarding to Aisley, set once in the app, so the venues' replies reach Aisley. ## Connect from Gemini 1. On a computer, go to [gemini.google.com](https://gemini.google.com) and open Settings, then Connected Apps. 2. Under Custom apps, choose Add a custom app, enter Aisley's server URL below, and press Next. 3. Google offers custom apps in Gemini only to people [18 or over in the US](https://support.google.com/gemini/answer/17209137), signed in with a personal Google Account. Until that changes, connect Aisley to [ChatGPT](https://getaisley.com/chatgpt-wedding-planner) or [Claude](https://getaisley.com/claude-wedding-planner), or plan in the [Aisley web app](https://getaisley.com/). ## Can Gemini email wedding venues for me? Google's help page for the Workspace app describes Gemini [finding and summarising your email](https://support.google.com/gemini/answer/15229592), not sending it. With Aisley connected, Aisley sends each enquiry from your Gmail once you confirm it, and reads the replies. ## Is this the same as asking Gemini to plan my wedding? No. On its own, Gemini plans in the chat window. With Aisley connected, it works on a wedding that exists in Aisley: real venues on a shortlist, enquiries sent from your Gmail, the venues' replies, and a budget built from their quotes. ## Will Gemini email a venue without asking me? No. Google says Gemini [asks you to confirm any write action](https://support.google.com/gemini/answer/17209137), and an email from Aisley leaves your Gmail only once you confirm it. ## Can I use Aisley without Gemini?
